Digipak explaination- Sharmin

The draft shows what the front cover will look like however the background will be used throughout the digipak in order to have a continuous theme. It is important to have a continuous theme because it attracts the target audience and encourages them to consume the product.

A problem occurred which delayed the process of the digipak. Other schoolwork had earlier deadlines meaning that I had to prioritise the schoolwork before continuing with the digipak. I also could not access the software InDesign used to create the digipak as I was producing the digipak outside of school therefore the process of producing a completed version of the digipak is delayed.

Location shots (London)- Lauren

We went up to Central London so that we could do some extra filming. In particular we wanted to film more of Montel and Kamara's scene. Shooting in South Bank was ideal because of the beautiful scenery of the citywhich  linked well with the concept of  'world'. The location was good because the audience would be able to identify with the famous London landmarks.

Website Construction- Lauren

We constructed our product on a website called Wix. It was fairly easy to use which came in handy as we were not experienced and allowed us to use many aspects that would make our website appealing to our website. We designed a merchandise element in which we imputed a variety of images of 1 Nation. This was done so that our brand would have a lasting impact. There are jumpers in each band members favorite colour in order for the fans to be able to identify with them. Additionally, we are going to add social media on the home page so that our fans can connect with the boy band which will heighten their Pop Star effect.

Extra Shoot- Lauren

In today's filming shoot, we decided to take some more photos which captured the making of the music video. We filmed in Crystal Palace Park during the sunset as it allowed us to have a fascinating and clear  lighting which our other locations could not provide us with. It was good to film in Crystal Palace park because it was empty so this allowed the actors to feel comfortable and really get into their acting. These shots created a strong effect on the music video due to the naturalness brought on scene.

Response shooting day narrative- Lauren

In today's filming shoot we thought if would be a good idea if we shot the performance element to our music video. We filmed the 3 actors performing to the chorus of the song as well as individual parts for their verses. this was done so that we gathered up enough footage of the boys dancing. the boys performed better when they were together as a trio as they were not alone on stage. However, when one stage individually one group member found it hard to act natural in front of the camera, Therefore, we put on different background music so that he could loosen up and feel comfortable. this was essential as the actors needed to look confident. We focused on Simon Firth's 3 typologies theory in this shoot. Artificial lighting lighting was used for the performance element to help give off the  impression of a performance in a music video.

Editing Collected footage 1- Lauren

At this point we have started to upload the existing footage that we have onto the editing software Final-cut. This was done so that we could see what the footage looked like on the computer screen and if we needed to re-enact any particular scenes. Also, we wanted to start putting parts of the footage together to see how they worked with each other. One negative that we came a cross was that one scene of our footage was coming up in a yellow light which was not appealing and did not match the rest of the footage. We plan to see what we can do with this footage however it looks like we will be re-shooting this scene as it will stick to the codes and conventions better.
